Online Class – Salt: The Secrets of Seasoning June 13th 10:30-11:30am


There is a lot of buzz these days about stocking your pantry as we cook from home more and more. While staples such as rice, grains and flour are a must for any pantry, the MVP’s of my pantry are flavor bombs such as an array of high quality oils, vinegars and most importantly salts. The addition of even a small amount of this “magic crystal” has the power to elevate even the simplest ingredients to “restaurant level” flavor. 
Chef Rachelle and Olive This Olive That have partnered for an online tasting and making class series.
The first is the about SALT. What’s the deal with all of the fancy, flavorful salts? How do I choose the right salt for my dish? What’s the difference between kosher, flake, sea, pink salt?
We’ll answer those questions and others you may have, have a salt tasting, and make a meal! Chef Rachelle with walk us through making a shaved asparagus salad, topped with a parmesan crisp, and a fruit ricotta bruschetta.
This is an online zoom class. We’ll send the link once you’ve signed up along with a prep and ingredient list. It’s not necessary to have the salts we’ll be introducing but it’ll enhance the tasting experience.
The second class focuses on BALSAMIC VINEGAR and will be held on June 27th from 10:30-11:30.
