There is a lot of buzz these days about stocking your pantry as we cook from home more and more. While staples such as rice, grains and flour are a must for any pantry, the MVP’s of my pantry are flavor bombs such as an array of high quality oils, vinegars and most importantly salts. The addition of even a small amount of this “magic crystal” has the power to elevate even the simplest ingredients to “restaurant level” flavor.
The resurgence of salt as a key to great cooking is a huge trend. In this class we will discuss the origins and use of salt from simple to gourmet. We will take you on an expert-led Tasting Tour of salt followed by a cooking class featuring seasonal produce taken to new heights.
