April is here and with it comes new blossoms, fresh greenery, and days full of golden sunshine. It’s the month we celebrate Earth Day and give thanks for all magic of this planet we call home.

Here at Olive This Olive That, we are also celebrating the arrival of new spring products to our shop with expanded lines to fill your pantry (and your belly!). Check out all we have in store for you!
 
 

New Lines from Jacobsen Salt Co.

We’re in love with Jacobsen chewy candies, Janell thinks it’s the best black licorice she’s ever tasted! We also have a selection of salts and peppercorns in a variety of tastes and flavors (black garlic, chili lime, habanero, see gris, etc). Plus, they make a tiny little salt tin which fits perfectly in your purse, your pocket and your picnic basket. Adorable!

Pairing of the Month

Our custom baskets are the perfect gift solution for any occasion! We offer a wide variety of bags and baskets and a plethora of things to fill it with—like Italian made flatbreads by Casa Vecchio Mulino, tapenade by Sutter Buttes, local honey, and Michael’s Chocolates.

This month we’re excited to share our Dark Raspberry Balsamic and Mission Extra Virgin Olive Oil with you. The tanginess of the raspberry and the spicy notes of the Mission varietal make it a wonderful combination on any salad. Add feta or goat cheese for additional texture. We know you’ll like this one!

Recipe of the Month

Before we go, we want to share this incredibly cool recipe from Jacobsen Salt Co. for Cured Egg Yolks with Kosher Salt. (You may have noticed the pic at the top of this email.) After settling the egg yolks on a bed of kosher salt for a few days, the end result is “a yellow puck of Umami goodness.” We loved it over a bowl of ramen! Who knew, right?
